File upload and Buy it now
When a product has a file-upload option, OptionWise makes sure every order arrives with the customer’s file attached. To do that, it guides shoppers through the regular Add to cart button on those products, rather than the one-tap express checkout buttons (Buy it now, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay). This is intentional, and it keeps your orders complete.
Why Add to cart is used
The express checkout buttons jump straight to payment and skip the step where the file is attached. If a shopper used one of them, their order could arrive without the artwork or document you need to fulfill it. By guiding shoppers through Add to cart, OptionWise guarantees the file always comes along.
What shoppers see
On products with a file upload, shoppers use the familiar Add to cart button. Once the item is in their cart, they can still check out with Shop Pay or any express method they like — the file is already attached, so nothing is lost.
Express checkout buttons work as normal on every other product — only the products that need a file upload use Add to cart.
