Currencies
If you sell in more than one currency, OptionWise shows your add-on prices in each shopper’s currency automatically. There’s nothing to set up and no per-currency price to enter.
You set one price, in your base currency
You enter each add-on amount once, in your store’s base currency — see Add-on prices. That single amount is all OptionWise needs.
Shoppers see their own currency
When a shopper browses your store in another currency — through Shopify Markets or your storefront’s currency selector — OptionWise converts every add-on price and the running Add-ons total into that currency.
The conversion uses Shopify’s own exchange rate: the same rate your theme uses for product prices, and the same rate Shopify applies at checkout. So the add-on price a shopper sees on the product page matches what they’re charged when they buy.
Amounts are also formatted for the shopper’s locale — the right currency symbol,
its placement, and the correct decimal separators (for example, 50,00 kr in
Swedish or 4,60 € in German).
You only ever enter one amount, in your base currency. OptionWise handles the conversion and formatting for every other currency you sell in.
